Bio:
Shea graduated from UBC’s Allard School of Law in 2020 and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2021. During law school she was a student clinician with the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic, assisting low income individuals with legal matters. Since completing her articles and becoming a lawyer, she has practiced exclusively with CBM.
Shea is a solicitor practicing in the areas of Wills & Estates, and Real Estate and she assists clients with a variety estate planning, probate, and property related matters. Previously, she ran a successful family law practice for four years. Her experience as family counsel brings several unique skillsets to her solicitor work, notably her passion for conflict resolution, her strong investigation skills, and her empathetic approach to clients navigating difficult decisions, which often arises in estate planning. As a former litigator, she has extensive knowledge of the court process and alternative dispute resolution should those questions arise.
Originally from the semi-rural community of Anmore, Shea has called Langley her home for the past five years. She enjoys being outdoors when the weather permits but on rainy days she is inside reading and adding to her ever-expanding book collection. She is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia through her paternal grandmother, and enjoys visiting her family spread throughout the country.
Shea currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Langley Community Services Society. She has a catalog of past community volunteer experience, with a special interest in support for seniors and those with disabilities.
