Spinal cord injuries, either resulting from a motor vehicle accident or through other means, require both immediate and long-term action. Initially, patients must receive proper diagnosis and care. During the recovery process they must have access to all treatment, rehabilitation and services needed in order to properly support recovery and re-integration into mainstream life. In the longer term, they must have the economic support needed to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Immediately after an accident, health care is obviously the primary concern. However we strongly recommend that family members also engaging a lawyer as quickly as possible to ensure that evidence to the accident is properly collected and the facts of the accident and possible parties at fault are properly identified. You can be assured that insurers for other parties involved will have adjusters on-site within hours of an accident. Ensure that your claim is protected and you are in the best possible position to make your claim down the road.

In the desire to get past their injury and back into life, too often spinal cord patients underestimate the amount of future care and costs associated with this new way of life. Spinal cord injury sufferers are able to do many of the things they were previously able to do, but may need special equipment or additional help in order to do so. This requires funding. Our lawyers understand the true long-term financial challenges of dealing with a spinal cord injury and can work to ensure that you receive the financial support you require for a lifetime or adaptive actions.

Spinal cord patients rely heavily on family members to serve as their advocate within the health care system, especially in the early days. It is also critical to have a lawyer serves as your legal advocate, to ensure that once you are ready to leave the hospital, the financial structure will be there to support your new life.

Personal Injury & ICBC Claims Testimonials

[Tom] Thank you very much for being an awesome lawyer.

G.N. (Surrey)

My experience with Ashley Harrison & her team at Campbell Burton & McMullan LLP was a great experience from start to finish. It was my initial meeting with Ashley that made me feel like she was the one I wanted to represent me in dealing with ICBC. I knew I did not have to look any further and that I had found the perfect team to work with.

I was happy with everyone I dealt with, right from the receptionist to the legal assistants to my lawyer. I would not hesitate  one moment to recommend Ashley and her team to anyone.

Over the four and a half years that I was dealing with ICBC, Tom took an interest in me, not just the case. This helped to remove some of the stress a car accident causes. I highly recommend Tom Murphy and Campbell, Burton & McMullan, to anyone who has to deal with ICBC after an accident.
