Funto is a dedicated family law lawyer with a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal and emotional issues with care and clarity. She understands the nuances of different family dynamics and is committed to delivering thoughtful, tailored solutions in every case she handles.

Funto holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with First Class Honours from Nottingham Trent University, England. She completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Distinction at Nottingham Law School and subsequently earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. While at UBC, she served as Ombudsperson for the Alma Mater Society, where she provided mediation and dispute resolution services. Earlier in her career, Funto supported refugees and asylum seekers on family reunification as a legal adviser with the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum in England. She also represented clients in social security appeals through the Free Representation Unit.

Prior to joining CBM Lawyers, Funto worked as an Associate Lawyer at premier boutique family law firms in downtown Vancouver, advising on complex family law matters, including high-net-worth property division, financial support matters, and contentious parenting issues. Her practice is primarily settlement-focused, emphasizing collaborative resolution through negotiation and mediation. Additionally, when litigation becomes necessary, Funto is a confident and capable advocate. She has appeared frequently before both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, securing positive outcomes for her clients.

Outside of her legal practice, Funto enjoys playing tennis and has a passion for travel, having lived on three different continents. She delights in exploring diverse cultures through their cuisine and has a deep appreciation for music, particularly Afrobeats, hip hop, and R&B.
